PHILOSOPHY OF WORSHIP
John 4:23 says, “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” At Emmanuel Christian Fellowship, we believe that worship is a lifestyle, not what takes place before the sermon on Sunday mornings. Worship begins with obedience which is manifested as we open our lives, our schedules, and our activities to God. Worship is experienced when we allow His presence to permeate our lives.
PURPOSE OF A SUNDAY SERVICE
Emmanuel Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational church in doctrine and practice. Our public services are focused foremost on ministry to God more than to one another.
- We encourage participatory expressive worship. (Ephesians 5:18-20)
- The Bible is read and taught from. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
- Prayer of all kinds offered up. (1 Thessalonians 5:16)
- Tithes and offerings are received. (Malachi 3:6-18)
- The Lord’s Supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of every month. (1 Corinthians 11:17-26)
PURPOSE OF A WORSHIP TEAM
The Worship Team exists to help people experience God and develop a life of worship. When we stand before the congregation, we are the instruments of the Holy Spirit to motivate and facilitate the expression of worship. (Ross Parsley)
